Hypoallergenic

Earrings are made with hypoallergenic stainless steal, sterling silver, plastic, or silver/gold plated unless otherwise specified. In addition to these metals, necklace cords may also consist of cotton, hemp, or occasionally synthetic cording. If you see a piece you love, but have an allergy, or preference, I can usually swap out the earring hooks, or switch out the chain/ cord for you, just let me know.

Accommodating and Inclusive
Most hook or clasp earrings can be converted into clip-ons, or gauge-friendly closed hoops. Most lobster clasp necklace closures can be switched to magnetic clasps. Most chains can be lengthened/ shortened. Just ask.
If you’ve got sizing issues, or mobility concerns, let me know. Many pieces can be altered for you. I’m always happy to make pieces more accommodating and inclusive. Don’t hesitate to reach out! I want you to feel comfortable, confident, and glowing in your LumiFae accessories.

Evolution
I started my little shop back in 2013 with just a few cute little knitted flower accessories, under a totally different name, just for fun. I fell completely in love with the joy of sharing my creations with the world, but knitting wasn't really my passion, so I got back to my roots, clay, and started experimenting with resin and LEDs.
By 2015 I wasn't offering any knitted items and realized my yarn-centric name could only take me so far. Finally in 2016 I officially became LumiFae, since then my creations have continued to evolve, and I absolutely love what I do. Thank you so much for supporting my dream and allowing me to continue to make magic for you!

The Artist
"Hi, I’m Joanna, the human behind all things LumiFae.
I was born and raised in the charming city of Greensboro, North Carolina, and grew up in a culturally diverse environment surrounded by artists, artisans, and small local shops. Perhaps these early seeds planted the idea that I could turn my passion into a successful business.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Film, and currently run this shop full time. When I’m not obsessing over LumiFae, some of my other interests include movies, baking, hiking, travel, and being immersed in nature. I’m not great at thinking inside the box, and take ‘weird’ as a complement.
I have been on this path my whole life, from making kandi bracelets and clay pieces as a child, to dreams of being a fashion designer or business owner as a kid, to attending arts schools in my teens, to selling my creations at craft fairs in my twenties, everything has led me to this.
Thank you for allowing me to create magic for you.”
